MUMBAI: Two pumped storage projects with a generation capacity of 13,050MW will be set up in the Konkan and Pune in three years.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on Tuesday between the Maharashtra government and National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited (NHPCL) and Torrent Power, which would involve an investment of Rs 71,000 crore.
While NHPCL will develop a 7,350MW project with an investment of Rs 44,000 crore, Torrent Power will set up a project that will generate 5,700MW by investing Rs27,000 crore.
