MUMBAI: Deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, on behalf of the state government, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Tata Power on Tuesday for developing 2,800MW pumped hydro storage projects in Maharashtra. With a total proposed investment of Rs 13,000 crore, these projects are aimed at supporting the state’s clean energy landscape.
While a 1,800MW pumped hydro storage project will be located at Shirawata in the Pune district, another 1,000MW project will come up at Bhivpuri in the Raigad district, an official said.
