MUMBAI: The Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Limited and Central Railway have announced that they have provided stabling siding capacity for six local trains (EMU rakes) at Juinagar station.
The project, which began in September 2022 and was finished in August 2023, was undertaken by MRVC and CR at a cost of Rs 39 crore. This initiative is part of the sanctioned MUTP project, which aims to enable the operation of 12-car coaches on the Harbour line of the Mumbai division, as stated by an official.
“A crucial aspect of the project was the provision of stabling sidings. With this task accomplished, the station can now accommodate and inspect six local trains before they are put into active service.
