Residents of Zaffron Colony, a locality on the outskirts of Srinagar city, are up in arms against authorities for failing to repair roads in the area for the past eight months. They say the bad roads, besides posing health risks, are damaging their vehicles.
Located less than 6 km from Srinagar’s commercial hub, the locality’s roads are full of potholes and the layer of macadamization has got completely damaged in the past few months.
“We are struggling to drive on the roads, it is posing health risks too. We have been appealing to the authorities time and again but nothing has been done,” said Dr Saim Wani, a resident of the locality.
