MUMBAI: Low-cost carrier SpiceJet will move its Mumbai operations to Sahar T2 of Mumbai airport from October 1. It operates around 150 daily flights connecting Mumbai. Like its low-cost counterparts, it operates out of T1 at Vile Parle and T2 at Sahar. After Jet Airways suspended flight operations in April, SpiceJet and IndiGo, which began using Jet’s slots, moved some flights to T2.
“A single terminal operation will help SpiceJet substantially cut down costs and provide passengers a seamless and smooth travel experience as they transit between domestic and international flights at one of the country’s busiest airports,” said SpiceJet chairman and managing director Ajay Singh.
