CHENNAI: SpiceJet on Sunday launched 14 direct flights connecting metro cities with non-metros. They include a daily flight from Chennai to Patna.
The Chennai-Patna flight (SG 735) will depart at 6.25pm and reach Patna at 8.50pm. In the return direction, the flight (SG736) will depart from Patna at 9.20pm and reach Chennai at 11.45pm.
The Chennai-Patna-Chennai flight is part of the airline’s plan to enhance its domestic footprint. The other direct flights are: Mumbai-Bhopal-Mumbai, Mumbai-Gorakhpur-Mumbai, Chennai-Patna-Chennai, Delhi-Bhopal-Delhi (two new flights), Jaipur-Dharamshala-Jaipur and Surat-Bhopal-Surat sectors, according to a press release.
These flights are in addition to the 14 new flights launched on Udan routes connecting unserved towns.
