CHENNAI: SpiceJet has introduced flights on the Mumbai-Chennai-Mumbai, Coimbatore-Mumbai-Coimbatore and Madurai-Mumbai-Madurai sectors as part of the 19 daily direct flights connecting Mumbai with other towns.
The Mumbai-Madurai-Mumbai flight will be a new service while Mumbai-Chennai-Mumbai will be the fourth frequency on the route (4th frequency) and Mumbai-Coimbatore-Mumbai will be the second direct flight on the route.
The service from Coimbatore and Madurai would start on May 4 while Chennai-Mumbai flight would start on May 8, said a press release.
The airline will deploy Boeing 737 – 800 aircraft on these routes.
The airline has in the past few weeks introduced a host of new flights from Mumbai alone on the routes of Mumbai-Jaipur-Mumbai, Mumbai-Amritsar-Mumbai, Mumbai-Mangalore-Mumbai and Mumbai-Coimbatore-Mumbai sectors, besides additional frequencies on the routes of Mumbai-Patna-Mumbai, Mumbai-Hyderabad-Mumbai and Mumbai-Kolkata-Mumbai.
