SpiceJet NSE 3.18 % has received a waiver of lease rentals of about ₹300 crore for four Boeing MAX aircraft for the period beginning March 2019, as it prepares to bring them back into service by the end of this month, said people aware of the matter.
They said the airline expects to negotiate a waiver of about ₹700 crore in lease rentals for the other nine aircraft which were also grounded owing to suspected faulty computer systems.
