No-frills carrier SpiceJet has expressed interest in the acquisition of Go First which has been grounded since May 3 this year.
“SpiceJet Ltd has expressed interest with the Resolution Professional of Go First and wish to submit an offer post diligence, with a view to creating a strong and viable airline in a possible combination with SpiceJet’’, the company said in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges.
Its announcement was received positively by investors with the SpiceJet scrip gaining 2.91 per cent to close at Rs 66.08 in the BSE.
