NEW DELHI: South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has contacted the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) afresh for using its inert soil or processed waste for constructing the main carriageway of Jaitpur-Ballabgarh bypass, besides using the material on the service road.
SDMC claimed that it had got a study done by the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) to ascertain the strength of the material.
“Things look positive this time with NHAI compared with our past attempts. The agency expressed interest after we got the study done. They have allowed us to utilise the material for filling the service road.
