Haryana Government has decided to install solar power system in the secondary schools of rural areas in the state so as to ensure uninterrupted power supply for proper working of EDUSAT system.
Apart from this, the State Government has set a target of generating 1190 MW solar energy in the current financial year and to achieve this goal, solar energy plants will be set up in 220 health centres this year.
This was stated by Haryana Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy, Banwari Lal while speaking at the state level awards distribution function organized by the Department, in Panchkula near here.
The Minister said that efforts are being made by the State Government to promote use of solar power in the state.
