HISAR: Installation of solar panels at educational institutions in the state will be started soon, said deputy CM Dushyant Chautala while inaugurating a 30kw solar plant, six new rooms of PG block and new Vigyan Bhawan at Chhajuram Memorial Jat College here on Saturday.
Dushyant also unveiled a multi-purpose hall, theatre and new academic block at the college.
He said the electricity generated by the solar plant will make the college self-sufficient in terms of energy needs, besides reducing its power bill of Rs 70,000 to Rs 45,000. The campus will glow more than before and students won’t have to sweat during summer, Dushyant said. He called upon the institution to build a multi-purpose sports complex, declaring to bear the expenses for the college auditorium from voluntary fund.
