A rooftop solar power plant was inaugurated at the Bajreshwari temple here on Wednesday.
After inaugurating the plant, Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Kumar said that the 30 KW plant was installed at a cost of Rs 16.5 lakh. The temple trust contributed Rs 5.77 lakh for the project, while the remaining amount was received from the government in the form of subsidy. He said that the project was executed through Himurja. The plant would generate 120 units per day and annually it would save Rs 2 lakh energy bill.
The DC also inaugurated an LED video wall at Nehru Chowk in the town to give important information to pilgrims and tourists.
