CHENNAI: A Belgaum-Mysore TruJet flight (2T-543) got stuck on the main runway at Chennai airport after landing at 9.08pm on Monday. A wheel of the ATR 72-500 plane was damaged.
The flight was diverted to Chennai after two goarounds in bad weather in Mysore. The pilot had reported a possible snag with the landing gear and the plane landed at Chennai with the airport emergency response team deployed by the side of the main runway. The aircraft made a safe landing but could not taxi as there was a problem with the landing gear.
Forty-six passengers and an infant were offloaded, and the plane was towed to the parking bay.
