Thanesar MLA Subhash Sudha today pulled up officials of PWD (B&R) and a road contractor for the slow pace of ongoing six-laning project from Pipli to Kurukshetra University. It has become an ordeal for local residents as well as shopkeepers on this stretch. The MLA asked the officials and contractor to chalk out a strategy to complete the work at the earliest.
The project started in December 2018 and was scheduled to be completed by December-end 2019. But only about 4 per cent work was done. After that, the tender was terminated and a fresh tender was allotted by PWD (B&R). The work resumed in April-end last year.
