Hyderabad: Singareni Thermal Power Plant (STPP) in Jaipur in Mancherial district has emerged as the number one thermal power station in the last eight months in 2022-23.
Till November 30, 2022, STPP with a capacity of 1,200 MW generated 6,385 million units of power at a plant load factor (PLF) of 90.8%, which is the highest PLF among all the 250 and odd power stations in government-owned and private sector in the country.
A report by the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) said the 2,600 MW NTPC Korba in Chhattisgarh state secured second place with a PLF of 90% and 2,000 MW NTPC Singrauli secured third place with a PLF of 89.9%.
