Residents of Rose Enclave Shivpora have urged the Power Development Department to install a transformer which would cater to the ever expanding households in the area.
According to a delegation, the PDD had installed a transformer at Rose Enclave Shivpora when there were 20 households in 1997. Presently the area has about new 150 households and the load is on the old transformer which often develops snag and needs repair.
“Apart from more than 170 households, the area has CRPF battalion camp also which requires additional transformer. We had given many representations to PDD authorities and even allotted space at the new location for the new transformer but till date no action has been initiated by the department in this regard,” said members of the delegation.
