Residents of the capital town will no longer have to bear with defective streetlights as the Shimla Municipal Corporation (SMC) is looking for a new company for designing, manufacturing, installation as well as the maintenance of 15,000 streetlights across the town at the cost of Rs 4.82 crore. For this, the corporation has also invited fresh tenders.
