NEW DELHI: Taking strong exception to Delhi government breaching an undertaking to release its share of funds for the Delhi-Meerut RRTS project aimed at reducing vehicular pollution in the national capital region, the Supreme Court on Tuesday directed that funds from its advertisement budget be transferred to the project if it does not release the due amount of nearly Rs 415 crore for the crucial infrastructural work.
A bench of Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Sudhanshu Dhulia, which had in July also pulled up the city government for neglecting the project by not infusing its share of funds in it and at the same time spending crores of rupees on publicity,
