Hyderabad: In order to minimise losses to farmers affected by the new railway line between Dornakal and Miryalaguda, the South Central Railway (SCR) has said that it was open to the idea of changing the alignment. In response to a plea by MP Nama Nageswara Rao, SCR general manager Arun Kumar Jain said that the suggestions were considered and the issue would be solved at the earliest.
In his letter to the SCR GM, railway board and railway minister, the BRS MP said the new line was of no use to Khammam district and demanded that it be moved out of the region. He said the broad-gauge line could displace thousands residing in Khammam rural,
