SECUNDERABAD: SCB-managed parks will not be spared from facing the axe thanks to two proposed skyways.
The British-era public garden at Bolaram is one such facility which could bear the brunt. Located on the state highway, the park falls within the corridor of the elevated skyway which will come up between Parade Ground and Hakimpet Air Force Station.
SCB officials say it is the largest park in Cantonment limits. As per the SCB official records, the park is spread over eight acres and may lose one acre of its land during the road-widening for the proposed skyway. Walkers from the nearby colonies make use of the park which has large walkways and lawns for doing yoga.
