In a landmark judgment, the Supreme Court bench of Justices J Chelameswar and Abhay Manohar Sapre has set aside the orders of Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (Aptel) and Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) upholding the sanctity of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) entered between Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) and Emco Ltd.
