Sanchi, the historic home to the renowned Stupa, which has illuminated the world for over two millennia, now holds the distinction of being India’s first ‘solar city’. In an official ceremony, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan marked this significant achievement on Wednesday, drawing a parallel to the enlightening legacy of Lord Buddha, a TOI report stated.
He said, “By becoming the country’s first solar city, this historic place has shown the way to the world, the same way as Lord Buddha once did.”
