The Chhattisgarh government on Monday conditionally did away with the need for passengers arriving by flight to possess a Covid-19 Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) negative report taken 72 hours earlier.
An order issued by the Raipur District Collector said the restriction was imposed on passengers arriving from other parts of the country under Criminal Procedure Code 1973, National Disaster Management Act 2005 and Epidemic Act 1897 (Amended 2020).
It said that after reviewing the status of Covid-19 positivity in the state, any passenger arriving from other parts of the country can show the vaccination certificate of both doses.
