In a classic case of putting cart before the horse, Punjab’s Technical Education Department has started pursuing the case to lay 1.2-km-long road to Shaheed Nand Singh Government Polytechnic College, Bareta, Mansa, seven years after the college building was raised at a cost of Rs 10 crore, including furniture.
To reach the college, one has to traverse 1.2-km ‘kutcha’ road that connects to the Jakhal-Budhlada road. In case of rains, the ‘kutcha’ road becomes tough to negotiate for vehicles.
