The conditions of roads in the Valley speaks loads about official indifference. On social media, residents are trolling and shaming the government over the poor condition of roads in Kashmir.
Over the years, the number of potholes on Valley roads has increased, making travel tedious. People in the Valley are angry as the roads are not being repaired. The blacktopping of most of the roads was done during the PDP-BJP coalition government, which collapsed in June 2018, but most roads are now in a poor condition.
Valley resident Akash Hassan uploaded a picture of inundated roads on his Twitter account and wrote: “Kashmir’s beauty is incredible. Even on the roads, we have small ponds, all over.”
