A Gurusar-Lundewala village road in Gidderbaha got damaged within hours of construction today. Local residents said the construction work was underway on Tuesday night and it got partially damaged after rain. “The officials concerned must probe the quality of work done,” said Kulwant Singh of Gurusar village.
On this, Gidderbaha PWD (B&R) SDO Satwant Narula said: “Some machines developed a snag due to which the work was completed at night. The road is 18-ft wide and the carpeting is being done on 9-ft. Some material that was laid on the sides of the road got damaged. The newly constructed road is in perfect condition.”
