The Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway turned a no-go zone for two-wheelers, autorickshaws, multi-axle hydraulic trailer vehicles, non-motorised vehicles and quadricycles Tuesday onwards. Police and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) personnel stationed at various entry points to the expressway prevented the banned vehicles from entering the e-way.
Two-wheeler riders heading from Bengaluru towards Bidadi industrial area and nearby places expressed dismay over the ban, saying it was wrong to close the road well within Bengaluru for two-wheelers. The expressway begins from Kumbalgodu, close to Kengeri.
