Residents of Juglan village, located about 2 km from the National Highway-52 (Hisar-Chandigarh-highway), are demanding a cut in the divider to give passage to vehicles for the Juglan-Dhansu link road to the main highway towards Hisar town.
In the absence of the connection to the approach road of the village, the villagers have to travel in the wrong lane for about 1.5 km to reach the right lane on the highway risking their lives.
Ajay Kumar, sarpanch representative of Juglan village, said they had been taking up their demand with the district administration for a long time. But there has been no concrete assurance from the administration so far. “We have submitted a representation to Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala and also held meetings with the Deputy Commissioner. The villagers are upset with the negligent attitude of the authorities concerned.”
