Recently, the updated all-electric Dacia Spring broke covers in Europe. While it may not be too relevant for the Indian market, the fact that it could be rebranded as the Renault Kwid EV in other international markets, makes it a very interesting proposition for India. In fact, the Renault Kwid on sale in India is a rehashed version of the petrol-powered Dacia Spring.
Renault had even showcased a concept of the Kwid EV back at the 2020 Auto Expo. So if the Dacia Spring EV makes its way to India, dressed as Renault Kwid EV, it will take on entry-level EVs such as Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet EV.
