The employees’ union of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Ltd (HPSEBL) has expressed resentment over the failure of the management in releasing compensation to the families of employees who lost their lives while discharging their duties in the past over three years.
Union’s state president Kuldeep Kharwara mentioned in a statement that such families were entitled to compensation as per the Workman Compensation Act, 1923, and Amendment Act, 2009, but they were being deprived of the same, resulting in financial hardships.
