Regional Connectivity Scheme

Inexpensive air travel, a much-awaited middle class expectation is set to become a reality in the regional sector of travel, defined in kilometer terms of journey. The government’s draft regional connectivity scheme (RCS) proposes to make regional air travel affordable for common man. Under the scheme, the airfare for a 200-225 km flight for a fixed wing aircraft could be capped at Rs 1,770 while a 776-800 km journey may be capped at Rs 4,070.
