NEW DELHI: After two workers were killed and two others sustained injuries in a Gokulpuri factory which was running in non-conforming area, Delhi Pollution Control Committee has suggested to National Green Tribunal that illegal industrial operations in non-conforming areas be stopped by refusing industrial electricity or water connection by the electricity companies or Delhi Jal Board.
In non-conforming areas, no factory is allowed, and only household units of certain specified categories are permitted after taking a licence.
TOI had on July 2 reported that two factory workers were killed while two sustained injuries following an explosion in a compressor at a plastic moulding factory in Gokulpuri.
