The Samajwadi Party on Thursday demanded that the State Government recover Rs 4,235 crore from the Reliance Infra following the judgment of the Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC).
The party also demanded rollback of power tariff hike in Bhubaneswar. The OERC has ordered the State-owned GRIDCO to recover the pending Rs 4,235-crore tariff from the Reliance Infra. Samajwadi Party State president Rabi Behera said that even during Covid pandemic, the OERC accepted the pleas of the Discoms and increased power tariff by 50 paise last year.
