RE-Invest 2015 is the first Renewable Energy Global Investors Meet & Expo organised by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) held from 15-17 February 2015 in New Delhi. Its objective was to showcase the government’s commitment to the development and scaling up of renewable energy in India to meet the national energy requirement in a socially, economically and ecologically sustainable manner.
RE-Invest was inaugurated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The participants included 702 companies including 124 international companies; 118 exhibitors and country-pavilions from Germany UK, Italy, UAE; 2,860 delegates from 42 countries; and 202 speakers from 29 countries.
Senior representatives from the renewable energy industry, equipment manufacturers, global financial institutions, public sector enterprises, regulatory authorities, central and state governments, research institutions and academia participated in the 3-day conference & expo.
