Raychem RPG, one of the largest suppliers of components and systems for automotive, energy, oil and gas and other sectors in India, will start commercial production of energy storage inverters and power conversion systems at its factory in Halol, Gujarat, by the end of February.
Raychem RPG, a 30-year-old joint venture between the RPG Group and $13-billion US-based TE Connectivity, has ventured into energy storage systems by partnering with another US company, DynaPower, one of the global leaders in the design and manufacture of bi-directional inverters for use in Battery Energy Storage Systems.
Under a technology transfer and licensing agreement signed with DynaPower, Raychem RPG will manufacture energy storage bi-directional inverters in India. “The entire range of products that they are manufacturing in the US for both small-scale and large-scale battery insulation will be available to us,” Ramani Kasi, President, Raychem RPG, told BusinessLine .
