GHAZIABAD: Seven men were arrested on Thursday for allegedly stealing plates, wires, and other equipment from platforms at Muradnagar RapidX station. They allegedly tie stones to ropes, throw them into the elevated platforms, and climb up to commit the thefts.
Police have identified the accused as Saif Malik (24)–a resident of Shaheen Bagh in Delhi, and Mohammad Javed (26), Mohammad Kalim alias Siddhu (21), Guljaar (24), Zulfikar (30), Sameer Malik (24), and Javed (25)–all Delhi residents. Saif, a scrap dealer, allegedly brought together the gang eight months ago and led it.
