CHENNAI: Southern Railway will conduct a trial run using an electric locomotive on the Tambaram -Guduvancheri third line between 1pm and 6pm on Wednesday ( October 6) to test the newly installed 25 KV overhead equipment.
The trial is part of preparation for the commissioning of the line.
The SR has warned people residing in the vicinity of the railway line between Tambaram and Guduvancheri stations not to trespass.
The line is part of the 30km Tambaram to Chengalpet third line for which most of the work has been completed. The 10km Tambaram – Guduvancheri was the last leg of the stretch which has now been completed.
