NEW DELHI: The Indian Railways is racing against time to complete the redevelopment of Ayodhya railway station latest by January 15, barely a week before the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla at the Ram temple.
The architecture of this junction is inspired by the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi temple. The revamped station is expected to manage daily footfall of around 50,000 persons and the facilities have been designed to meet that requirement.
Railway officials said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate the revamped station on January 22 when he participates in the “pran pratistha” of the Lord Ram in the temple and it’s inauguration.
