Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Wednesday announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each for the kin of workers who died in the bridge collapse in Mizoram on Wednesday. He also announced an ex-gratia compensation of Rs 2 lakh for those who suffered minor injuries and Rs 50,000 for minor injuries.
Earlier, even PM Modi had announced ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from PM relief fund to the next of kin of each of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured.
