Delhi Metro users can now buy tickets generated using QR codes, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said Monday.
Commuters will now be able to use the QR Code based paper tickets apart from the tokens, it said.
AFC (Automatic Fare Collection) gates at the entrance and exit of stations and customer care counters have been updated to support QR based Paper tickets. By the end of the month, QR code tickets generated on mobile phones will also be allowed and there will be no need to purchase physical tickets.
