The pedestrians who could be seen hopping around to cross the roads risking their lives would now be breathing easy as the Public Works Department (PWD) has planned to construct foot over bridges (FOBs) in city’s three places which are infamous for accidents and mishaps.
The FOBs will be built at Monastery Market near Kashmere Gate, National Highway (NH-10) and Shiv Parvati Mandir on Mehrauli-Badarpur (MB) Road.
In a recently held meeting, the PWD has also approved the proposal and sanctioned budget for carrying out the construction of the project.
“These stretches are one of the busy and most used stretches. Due to non-availability of alternate option to cross the road, the public risk their lives to cross the busy road.
