Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has served show-cause notices to IndiGo’s CEO Wolfgang Prock-Schauer and engineering head SC Gupta over the issue of faulty Pratt & Whitney engines. It is also carrying out a special safety audits of the carrier. However, DGCA has termed this a routine exercise which is carried out every year for all the airlines. But, looking at series of engine failures, it appears to be simply a slap on the wrist. DGCA is simply waiting for a serious mishap to happen.
