Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has reported incidents involving Airbus A320 Neo aircraft fitted with Pratt & Whitney (P&W) 1100G Engine operated by Indian operators. It has directed the airline to replace all unmodified engines with modified engines by January 31, 2020.
On November 25, 2019 DGCA instructed IndiGo to ensure that it grounds an old A320neo family aircraft with an unmodified PW engine for ever new A320neo plane added to its fleet.
