Pune Metro is gearing up to unveil the long-awaited Line 2 from Ruby Hall to Ramwadi next week. The Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety granted conditional permission for passenger services on the Ruby Hall to Ramwadi stretch over a week ago, following its completion. Commuters have expressed eagerness for the stretch to be opened promptly and without further delay.
Originally slated for inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 19, plans were deferred. Despite subsequent hopes for a virtual inauguration on February 25, the event did not materialise. Now, Pune Metro aims to launch the stretch next week, potentially on March 6, in anticipation of the election code of conduct.
