Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has issued a stern warning to the developers of approved colonies (under PAPRA 1995) against the unauthorised use of electricity (UUE) for common services in their colonies which, it said, was tantamount to the theft of electricity, adding that power connections in such colonies were liable to be disconnected.
In an office memo (849-54 dated December 4, 2020), the PSPCL Chief Engineer/Commercial has said that it had been observed that some developers or builders – after taking NOC for their licensed colonies, fail to apply for electricity connections for common services like sewage treatment plant (STP), streetlights, lifts and water supply etc.
