In keeping with the policy of the Punjab Government to encourage shifting of industries from residential areas or other non-conforming zones to approved industrial parks or industrial estates by October next year, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has taken a policy decision to shift connections of all such units without any additional charges. The concession would be available to the eligible industrial consumers for a period of one year (till July 26, 2022).
In a commercial circular PSPCL Chief Engineer (Commercial) has said that this one-time facility was being extended in accordance with a notification issued by the Department of Power (Energy Branch), Government of Punjab, with the objective of facilitating shifting of industries from residential and mix-land use areas to designated industrial areas. —OC
