About 6000 saplings of ornamental, shade and fruit trees were planted by officials of various division of the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) on the inaugural day of the “Save the planet” campaign, launched as part of the ongoing celebration of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, today.
Chief engineer DPS Grewal inaugurated the campaign and executive engineer Amandeep Singh Khangura presided over the function held on the PSPCL premises at Pohir village, near here. Deputy chief engineer Bhupinder Khosla and superintending engineer (Suburban) kicked off the campaign at different divisions.
