Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has not even spared its own employees, including top officials of the department on power dues and has threatened to disconnect their power supply if they do not pay their pending dues within two days.
In fact, giving momentum to its ongoing drive to get its pending electricity dues cleared, PSPCL has disconnected electricity connections of several PSPCL and PSTCL employees for failing to clear their pending electricity dues.
A spokesman of PSPCL on Saturday advised employees to clear their electricity dues within two days, failing which their power connections will be disconnected on Monday.
He said that in summer season also, the Corporation had started the drive against power theft from its own top brass, including the Directors, Chief Engineers, SE’s, XEN etc. by getting fixation of meter seals and shifting of meters outsides the premises.
