Vigilance sleuths on Thursday nabbed an employee of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) in Patran while accepting bribe of Rs 25,000 for transferring electricity connection in the complainant’s name.
The Vigilance Bureau (VB) has now registered a case against the PSPCL employee identified as, Gurmukh Singh, under Section 7 of the PC Act.
Giving more information the VB Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Jaspreet Singh, said Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Kheri Nagaian village in Patran, complained to the bureau that he met the suspect to get his relative’s electricity connection transferred to his name when the latter took Rs 4,000 bribe from him and started preparing the file.
